RULES OF PLAY

As much as we dislike to, we do need to outline the Rules of Play for the Hall to respect the property, our neighbors and our students:

1.  Pick up after your dog and place in garbage cans provided outside the hall, please do not use the dumpster in the yard as it is the property of the Daycare. Please pay attention to where your dog urinates,  PLEASE do not allow them to relieve themselves on the fencing bordering the daycare play area or on the stairway leading into the hall.  Anyone discovered not cleaning up after their dog will be asked to leave for the duration of the course, no refund will be given.

2. Indoor shoes are mandatory, you may run in sock feet if you choose but remember your furry friend has four paws and nails.

3. You are responsible for your dog’s behavior,  please pay close attention to your dog particularly when entering or exiting the hall.

4.  Please - there is no smoking anywhere on the property, in consideration for our Daycare neighbours, and safety for all our dogs.

Anyone not obeying the rules may be asked to leave the class with no refund of fees and no opportunity for re-enrollment.   Please read GOOD TO KNOW!!  for more class information.

GOOD TO KNOW!

  • You are allowed park in any spot in the parking lot, as authorized by the landlord.  No parking signs are for other people besides the Daycare and Pure Gold Students.

  • All our classes are 50 minutes in length unless otherwise posted.

  • All classes are held once a week (the same day and time each week that you registered for).

  • No classes are held on statutory holidays, or the weekend of a statutory holiday. They will resume the following week.

  • We do ask that any young people under the age of 10,  please be spectators only. We would love to have family come and watch, and encourage them to do so!

  • Sometimes, due to the fact we live in Canada, our classes have to be postponed due to nasty weather (snow/sleet/ice), or even the prediction of nasty weather. Our policy is that if the trainers can get to school, our students can get to school. We will normally hold classes, and only postpone in dire circumstance.

  • If you suspect a class may be postponed, please check your e-mail contact or our FB page one hour prior to your class start time. It is up to you to keep apprised of the situation. Please do not assume a class has been cancelled (or not cancelled). Normally we will continue the course on the following week, and in the rare case we may have to reschedule to a different day. We do not have any refunds if you are unable to attend the make-up session.

  • Once you have enrolled in your course, we reserve that space for you and your dog. Once you have that space reserved, we will not be able to give it to anyone else. If you have to drop out of class, we have a no refund/no class switch policy. In case of a dog illness, please send a vet note and we can issue a partial courtesy client credit, which can be used towards another course.

  • We accept cash or email transfer as payment, or you can mail your cheque with the Enrolment form to us at:

  •                PURE GOLD DOG SPORT 1140 Front Street, North Bay, Ontario  P1B 6P2

  • If your dog is ill on a class day, please come to the school without your dog, to watch the lesson. This will enable you to continue with the lessons at home during the week.

  • If you do miss a class, please come to the lesson 15 min early the following week. We will do our best to give you a catch up lesson.

  • We are assuming your dog is friendly when you check "yes" to that question on your registration. Please do not register for a class if you have concerns about temperament. *

**  We do offer private, semi- private instruction, please inquire -  this option may be more suitable for your situation. If your dog causes damage or is deemed that his temperament is unsuitable for class, he will be dismissed with no refund given.
